Roof Replacement in Bend & Central Oregon

First, do you need one?

In our experience, a composition roof in Central Oregon lasts about 18 to 20 years, and today’s shingles should do better. What tells us a roof is done: granules coming off in patches, black asphalt showing through, shingles that look shiny where the mat is exposed, curling, missing shingles. What tells us it isn’t: one bad flashing, a worn pipe gasket, a skylight going before the roof does. Those are repairs, and we’ll say so.

What’s in the proposal

Everything, as line items: tear-off and disposal, synthetic underlayment, ice and water shield in the valleys and along the eaves, new flashing, shingles, vents, pipe boots, any decking we can see needs replacing, and cleanup. Owens Corning is where we usually start on shingles; we also install CertainTeed and GAF, and Taylor Metal for standing seam. Nothing’s excluded to make the number look smaller.

If we find rot

Sometimes tear-off uncovers decking we couldn’t see from above. We stop, dry the roof in, and call you before going any further, with the cost of the extra sheets. We don’t roof over rot.

Small crews, on purpose

We use small crews so the people doing the work stay familiar with your roof and its details. Production leadership inspects the finished roof and addresses any concerns before we call it complete.

Work we stand behind

Our workmanship is covered for ten years, and the coverage transfers to the next owner with the original contract and paid-in-full invoice. Workmanship problems show up in the first year or two, usually with the first good rain. Ten years covers that many times over.
